NeuroSense Secures Nasdaq Hearing Date as PrimeC Approaches Key Regulatory and Funding Milestones

Combination Therapy Built on Approved Drugs – PrimeC, the company's only clinical asset, is an extended-release oral tablet combining two FDA-approved drugs, ciprofloxacin and celecoxib, in a proprietary formulation. The company says PrimeC targets microRNA regulation, neuroinflammation and iron accumulation, and it holds Orphan Drug Designation from both the FDA and the European Medicines Agency.
Peer-Reviewed Phase 2b Data in ALS – Results from the 68-participant PARADIGM trial were published in JAMA Neurology in March 2026. Participants who started on PrimeC showed a 7.92-point ALSFRS-R separation at month 18 versus those who started on placebo, and long-term follow-up reported a 65% reduction in risk of death. The authors note the trial was not powered for efficacy or survival conclusions.
Canadian Regulatory Pathway in Motion – NeuroSense has completed the pre-NDS process and is targeting a New Drug Submission to Health Canada in December 2026 under the Notice of Compliance with Conditions (NOC/c) early approval pathway. In May 2025 the company announced completion of commercial manufacturing scale-up for a potential Canadian launch.
Revised U.S. Strategy for PrimeC – In August 2026 the company outlined a U.S. plan that includes AI-enabled characterization of the formulation, an active-comparator study against edaravone and a smaller, shorter design for the pivotal Phase 3 PARAGON trial. NeuroSense plans to ask the FDA whether existing data could support full or Accelerated Approval, subject to FDA alignment.
Patent Protection and Pipeline Expansion – U.S. patents cover the PrimeC composition through December 2042, its use in ALS through 2038 and its use in Alzheimer's disease through January 2043, with composition grants in Australia, Brazil, Japan and South Korea. The company reported plasma biomarker results from its Phase 2 RoAD study in Alzheimer's disease in June 2026 and is developing StabiliC for Parkinson's disease in preclinical models.
