VistaShares Making Weekly Distribution For BitBonds™ 5 Yr Enhanced Weekly Option Income ETF (BTYB)
About the VistaShares BitBonds™ Income ETF
The VistaShares BitBonds™ 5 Yr Enhanced Weekly Option Income ETF (NYSE: BTYB) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund designed to generate income while maintaining exposure to both traditional fixed income securities and Bitcoin-related investments. The fund combines a core allocation to U.S. Treasury securities with a smaller allocation to Bitcoin-related exposure and an options-based income strategy. Through this structure, BTYB seeks to deliver regular income distributions while also pursuing capital appreciation.
Weekly Income Objective – The fund seeks to generate income that may be distributed to investors on a weekly basis.
Targeting Double Treasury Yield – BTYB aims to achieve approximately twice the annual distribution rate of a 5-year U.S. Treasury bond.
Treasury-Backed Core Allocation – Approximately 80% of the portfolio is invested in U.S. Treasury securities that may provide stability and interest income.
Bitcoin-Linked Exposure – A portion of the portfolio provides exposure to Bitcoin-related investments within a regulated ETF structure.
Options-Based Income Strategy – A synthetic covered call strategy seeks to generate option premiums that may support the fund’s income objective.
VistaShares BitBonds™ 5 Yr Enhanced Weekly Option Income ETF (NYSE: BTYB)
BTYB is designed to pursue income by combining traditional fixed income securities with exposure to the digital asset ecosystem and an options-based income strategy. Under normal market conditions, the fund allocates the majority of its portfolio to U.S. Treasury securities while maintaining a smaller allocation to Bitcoin-related investments.
Treasury securities serve as the core of the portfolio and may provide interest income while helping anchor the overall structure of the strategy. This allocation allows the fund to maintain a foundation in government-backed fixed income instruments while supporting the broader income objective.
COMBINING TREASURY STABILITY WITH BITCOIN-LINKED OPPORTUNITY
The fund also maintains exposure to Bitcoin-related investments through exchange-traded products linked to Bitcoin markets. This allocation allows the strategy to participate in the evolving digital asset ecosystem within a regulated ETF structure.
To help generate additional income, BTYB implements a synthetic covered call strategy tied to its Bitcoin-related exposure. By selling options contracts, the fund may collect option premiums that can contribute to the weekly income distributions paid to investors.
The strategy seeks to achieve an annual income target of approximately double the yield of a 5-year U.S. Treasury bond, although actual distributions may vary depending on market conditions. Shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker BTYB, the fund distributes income on a weekly basis, and it carries a total expense ratio of 0.52%.
